TIME: 70 minutes
AIM: To use a video to learn about adjectives and use them in writing.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
- distinguish adjectives that are used to describe nouns from the video.
- answer the quiz based on the video.
- fill in the blanks in the worksheet with the adjectives from the video.
- write a paragraph using some of the adjectives learned on their own blog.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- A computer for each two students with a stable internet connection, web browser and speakers
- An LCD projector provided

PREPARATIONS:
- Pick a suitable video on adjectives that is appropriate and can be used in the lesson.
- Create an online quiz using the website www.ESLvideo.com .
- Prepare a worksheet based on the video from the online quiz.
- Post the lesson's instructions using the website www.blogger.com.
- Ensure the students to sign up for blogger before coming in to class.
- Test all links or activities beforehand.
PROCEDURE:
FOLLOW-UP ACTIVITY: The students are to write and post a journal entry on their own blog about "An Exciting Trip or Adventure!" as a continuation of the lesson in using adjectives in their writing to describe the event of a trip or adventure that they have been to.
Set Induction (5 minutes)
- The teacher recaps on what they have learned in previous lesson since today's lesson is a continuous lesson from the previous.
- Then, the teacher asks the students whether they like watching Disney movies or not. The teacher asks the students what their favorite or most memorable Disney movie is.
- The teacher explains today's topic which is Aladdin's "A Whole New World".
Activity 1 (25 minutes)
- The teacher instructs the students to form a pair to one computer each.
- The teacher asks the students to go to the teacher's blog which is lisaemirtsl641.blogspot.my, and click on the entry entitled "A Lesson on Adjectives".
- The teacher asks the students to click on the link to the online quiz (A Whole New World Quiz).
- The teacher allocates 10 to 15 minutes for the students to watch and answer the quiz that follows the video.
- The teacher then discusses the answers with the students.
Activity 2 (35 minutes)
- The teacher distributes worksheets to the students and asks them to fill in the blanks with the adjectives from the video with the time allocation of four to five minutes (refer appendices).
- The teacher asks the students to sign in to one of their pair's blogger account.
- The teacher asks the students to write a short paragraph by including five of the adjectives from the previous video in the paragraph. They can refer to the teacher's sample paragraph on the entry "A Lesson on Adjectives" to start writing their own.
- The teacher allocates 15 to 20 minutes for the students to write and post their short paragraph on the blog.
- Once everyone is done, the teacher asks the students to go to one of their friends' blogs (a pair) and identify the adjectives being used in the pair's short paragraph by commenting on the post.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
- The teacher recaps the lesson by asking the students what they have learned in today's lesson and reemphasizes on the usage of adjectives in writing.
- The teacher then asks the students to write and post a journal entry on their own blog about "An Exciting Trip or Adventure!" to describe the event of a trip or adventure that they have been to.
